Ruck X
In the United States military, a ‘Ruck’ or ‘Rucking’ is a staple of military training. Starting in basic training or bootcamp, all recruits are expected to complete successful ruck marches. Hiking a long distance in full battle gear, including a heavy rucksack (backpack). Simulating troop movements from one location to another while at war.
In the civilian world, ruck marches have become a very popular method of exercise and team building. The extra weight in the backpack requires more force from your muscles. Thus rucking is a cardiovascular exercise that will build strength and stamina as well. one you can do as an individual, or as a team.
Ruck X will take place May 25th, 26th or 27th, and combines both the military application and the civilian application, but with a greater purpose. To remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives for this country. Also, to help raise awareness and donations to help fight PTSD, suicides and hunger.
Join us for the 2nd annual Ruck X challenge, presented by F45 Training, and help us to help our military, veterans, and their families.
